 About Rapid Reserve

IEM, a leader in homeland security and emergency management, is mobilizing our Rapid Reserve Program, whose mission is to support government agencies in their disaster response and recovery efforts. Multiple states have tasked IEM with the mission to mobilize and deploy emergency management professionals to augment their existing staff throughout the United States.

IEM’s Rapid Reservists may be activated whenever a disaster occurs of such magnitude and severity that additional resources are necessary to manage and recover from the potentially catastrophic event.

 Who Should Sign Up?

IEM’s Rapid Reservists include professionals from the following fields:

·         Emergency Management

·         Public Safety

·         Aviation

·         Logistics

·         Disaster Response and Recovery

·         Grant Administration

·         Search and Rescue

·         Public Information/Outreach

·         Community/Urban Planning

·         Hazard Mitigation

·         Training and Exercise

·         Health and Medical

We are looking for individuals who have the expertise and flexibility to be mobilized and deployed at a moment’s notice.

 What to Expect

Deployment can range from just a few days to a couple of months, but typically last from 7 to 14 days. IEM Rapid Reservists can be expected to perform a variety of activities from staffing an EOC, assisting with grants administration and other office support to providing damage assessments, logistics support, and working on tarmacs in inclement weather while tracking assets.
